I see your prices are in US dollars but I'm not in America. How does that work?

I am forever forgetting my passwords. Will I get locked out of the Studio?

We know how you feel. It's impossible to remember all the passwords we need now, and sometimes it feels like you spend your life requesting new passwords.

We recommend taking the option for your device or internet browser to remember your password for you (sometimes called auto-saving). That way, you are logged in all the time.

How do I know if the exercises will be at the right level for me?

If you have been using the videos on our website or YouTube channel or receiving our weekly emails, and these have been at the right level for you, then the Studio will be perfect for you. I can't get up and down from the floor very easily. Will I be able to do all the exercises?

It is common to find it more and more difficult to get up and down from the floor.

If this is a challenge for you , don't worry. Almost all our exercises are done standing up (next to a chair or wall for balance exercises, in case we need support). Some of them are seated, but only when it's the best way to do the exercise.

We may add some floor exercises in the future, however these will be a small percentage of the total exercises and you will still be able to do almost all of the videos.

We do have some videos and articles about getting up and down from the floor, as it is an important skill. We have helped many people to become stronger and more confident getting up and down, and would love to help you too.


Are your videos chair-based exercise?

We do some of our exercises seated, but mostly we exercise standing up. We would not describe our videos as chair-based exercise.

There is a place for seated exercises, but we think that if you are fit enough to walk into the Studio, you should do most of your exercise standing up too. Seated exercise can be very beneficial, but you need to be standing and moving if you want to improve your balance and prevent falls.


I don't have any exercise clothing or shoes. Do I need to buy these before I join the Studio?

You don't need any special clothing or footwear to do the exercises in the Studio.

If you want to wear snazzy, neon leggings, then go for it! But you can also wear any comfortable trousers, leggings or shorts. If you can bend and move your legs freely (and there’s nothing you could trip on), it's fine.

You don't even need to have sports shoes. Any soft-soled shoes will do, so that you can flex and point your feet. Please, no high heels or slippers though!

You can also do the exercises barefoot at home (as long as you don't have any concerns about your foot health, e.g. with diabetes).


I walk most days. Do I need to do exercises in the Studio as well?

Walking is a great form of exercise, and if you are walking most days, then we encourage you to keep that up. Walking is not, however, a complete exercise solution (nothing is!).

To stay active and independent, we need to do regular strength and balance exercises. These will complement your walking. By working on your strength and balance, you will maintain your confidence and ability to walk safely and confidently for longer.


Can I upgrade to an annual membership if I buy a monthly membership first?

You certainly can! You can upgrade to annual membership any time with a couple of clicks from your account page. Our system will automatically take into account the time left on your current subscription, so you'll never be double charged either.


I already go to an exercise class once a week. Why would I join the Studio as well?

Going to a regular class is great. If you have a class you enjoy and that fits with your schedule, that's wonderful. However, while going to a class once a week is good, it's not enough.

Studio members find that the exercises they do in our videos complement their classes. They enjoy staying active most days. They like that they can do shorter videos more often, maybe fitting in a 5 or 10-minute video in the morning.

You will feel better with more regular bursts of short exercise. You will also benefit more from the class as you have kept moving throughout the week.
